Mentorship Behavior Requirements

Are you concerned that your youth will make mistakes behaviorally as they are working with the LandformEd team?

If your youth has a history of negative behaviors and a potential for the occurrence of a negative behavior, that is not a “deal breaker” working with LandformEd. When participating in a Workshop or a Mentorship Session a behavior expectations is an important requirement although. For our competitive tuition rates, we offer genuine “relational support” as a Service. Every LandformEd teacher is faced with understanding the unique characteristics, learning styles and conflict styles of each individual youth we support. This is one of our special abilities at LandformEd!

Negative behaviors reflect sincerity and commitment so, of course, we encourage everyone to do their best. With the proper supports in place and time given to the internal and the intuitive, relational methods and strategies take over. Our staff have the structures in place and are secure in our ability to skillfully intervene when confusion and frustration inevitably surface. Because we are regularly in nature and engaged physically there isn’t much opportunity for negative behaviors to arise, but it does happen.

In the case when a youth is not able to de escalate, parents are contacted and asked to pick up their youth. Police are called if necessary. We must be upfront that we can not in anyway accept aggressive behaviors. In no way are we here to physically engage an upset youth. Negative behavior preventive strategies start with being hydrated, with the proper nutrition, sleep, and sometimes prescribed medication. All of which we ask to be informed of upon pic
